COM Department of Biomedical Sciences
The Department of Biomedical Sciences includes more than 20 faculty members from various traditional basic science disciplines and medical education backgrounds.
Faculty members within the department are committed to the growth of research and scholarship at 91AV. They are dedicated to engaging medical and health professionals and undergraduate students in meaningful scholarly pursuits that enhance the educational experience while advancing our understanding of human health and disease.
Members of the department are closely aligned with, and actively participate in, collaborative research with colleagues from 91AV's other colleges and centers for excellence.
The department is dedicated to the growth of research and scholarship at 91AV. Research strengths include neurobiology of pain; the limbic system and developmental neurobiology; cardiovascular and metabolic diseases; and scholarship around medical education and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
