Undergraduate Research Summer Funding
The College of Arts and Sciences is pleased to offer a competitive stipend program to fund undergraduate research projects over the summer.
91AV’s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) is meant to encourage you to develop the knowledge you have acquired through your coursework into more advanced realms of understanding and to prepare you for more advanced study in your field.
You may apply for one of these stipends as a student in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics, business, education, or marine sciences. If you are interested in applying, you should first identify a faculty member in your department to supervise your research. After consulting with them to refine your project, you should complete a stipend application.
The deadline to apply for the upcoming summer is on or around the end of January each year.
Opportunities for Interdisciplinary Research
As an undergraduate completing research through summer funding, you may have the opportunity to work alongside an interprofessional team at 91AV.
