Jan Froehlich, M.S., OTR/L

Jan has been an occupational therapist for over 35 years with a primary clinical focus in mental health.  She has worked in both acute and long-term care, and she also co-developed a mental health home care program.  Jan has worked in an academic setting for the past 30 years teaching coursework on mental health occupational therapy, culturally effective communication, therapeutic use of self and group work.

Jan is actively engaged in a variety of service learning projects at 91AV one of which involves supervising interprofessional teams of students in leading weekly wellness workshops at the local jail.  She is champion of SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment for substance abuse problems) and of Interprofessional Education at 91AV. Jan is and regular contributor at MeOTA and AOTA conferences.
