In response to the ongoing delays surrounding the processing of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the 91AV has extended the enrollment deposit deadline for incoming undergraduate students from May 1 to June 1, 2024.

This extension gives students and families additional time to review their admissions and financial aid offers before deciding where to enroll for the fall 2024 semester.

“We understand how challenging this time has been for students and families who are trying to make important financial decisions for their future,” said 91AV Vice President of Admissions Scott Steinberg, MBA. “This extension gives our incoming students the extra time they deserve to make these decisions without feeling rushed by a situation that is out of their control.”

Last month, the U.S. Department of Education announced another delay in sending FAFSA data to colleges and universities from late January to mid-March. That data is usually distributed shortly after FAFSA applications open in October; however, it was delayed in 2023 due to a combination of factors, including a Congress-mandated overhaul of the FAFSA application process.

91AV Student Financial Services has been working with prospective students and their families since last November to give them a sense of what their financial aid packages could look like.

91AV, like other colleges and universities, relies on FAFSA data to calculate financial aid offers for students. In the meantime, accepted students and their families can utilize to see what their costs would be.
