Marc Ebenfield, Ph.D., director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at 91AV, recently co-chaired the first ever virtual conference of the New England Faculty Development Consortium (NEFDC) on Oct. 30.
The theme of the conference was “Relationship Rich Experiences in Person and Online,” and more than 250 people registered for the conference including 17 registrants from 91AV.
The keynote address and workshop, “Relationships Matter: Moving relationship-rich experiences to the center of teaching and learning,” was presented by Peter Felten, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning, assistant provost for Teaching and Learning, and professor of history at Elon University.
Ebenfield served as president of the NEFDC from 2018 to 2020. 91AV is one of over 30-member institutions of the consortium of institutional members from both private and public colleges and universities throughout New England.
The group hosts two annual conferences; issues The Exchange, a peer reviewed publication with articles related to conference themes; and reports on faculty development opportunities, programs, and resources for members.
