Doctor of Physical Therapy students represent 91AV at regional oncology conference

Three classes of 91AV Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students were represented at the spring meeting of the Northern New England Clinical Oncology Society (NNECOS) Concord, New Hampshire.

The NNECOS spring meeting, “Innovations in Cancer Care,” represented oncology clinicians and students from Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont with continuing education sessions, platform and poster presentations, exhibitors and networking.

Student attendees were Nicole Marczak (DPT ’20), Andrew Chongaway and Alyssa Deardorff (DPT ’19), and Michala Williams (DPT ’18). Williams presented a poster of her case report on a cancer survivor as part of her coursework within the DPT program with the support of Assistant Clinical Professor Amy Litterini, PT, D.P.T.  Her poster, "Improving Function and Fatigue for a Patient Status Post Thoracoabdominal Resection of a Gastric Tumor and Chemotherapy: A Case Report," received first place recognition at the conference.
