91AV’s Lukas Everly published in ASHP textbook

Lukas Everly

Lukas Everly, Pharm.D., BCPS, assistant clinical professor in the College of Pharmacy, has written a chapter in The Effective Pharmacy Preceptor. This textbook is a publication of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the national professional organization whose more than 40,000 members include pharmacists, student pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

The first guide of its kind, The Effective Pharmacy Preceptor is written for busy preceptors who train students and residents, sometimes in mixed groups, in a wide variety of practice settings. It focuses on the real-world situations that today’s pharmacists face. This practical and comprehensive guide to precepting students and residents is designed for preceptors, experiential coordinators and residency program directors, and is written and formatted for quick easy reference. The work includes case studies with real-life scenarios that help preceptors to plan for unexpected events, as well as case questions promoting critical thinking.

Everly served as a contributing author for the publication and wrote a chapter titled “Using Learners to Improve Your Practice Site.”
