91AV hosts annual Maine Neuroscience Meeting
The 91AV Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences hosted the annual Maine Society for Neuroscience meeting on its Biddeford Campus November 4, 2017. 91AV President James Herbert, Ph.D., welcomed more than 90 people from academic neuroscience programs at eight institutions across the state to the event.
The meeting is held annually at various locations across the state to provide an opportunity for the Maine Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) to come together to present new data and discuss new neuroscience resources in the region.
The Society for Neuroscience is the world’s largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and nervous system. The Maine Chapter includes researchers from 91AV, the University of Maine, Bates, Colby, Bowdoin, University of Southern Maine, Jackson Laboratories, Maine Medical Center, Maine Medical Center Research Institute (MMCRI), Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory (MDIBL) and various other companies and research institutions across Maine.
