Robnett and Gugliucci’s presentation, titled “1st Tri-State Age Friendly University: Building Bridges of Knowledge, Engagement, and Support” was given in workshop format to garner discussion and open doors for partnerships as 91AV advances its connections in the field of aging with older adults and communities.
91AV was recently recognized as an Age Friendly University (AFU) by the international Age Friendly University Global Network, which highlights the role higher education plays in meeting the challenges and opportunities of an aging population. To receive this designation, 91AV demonstrated the numerous ways that it engages older adults to participate in core institutional activities, including education and research.
