Wallace Marsh appointed associate dean of academic affairs, College of Pharmacy

Wallace A. Marsh, M.B.A., MSE, Ph.D., R.Ph., clinical associate professor, has been appointed to the position of associate dean for academic affairs in 91AV’s College of Pharmacy, as announced by Dean Gayle A. Brazeau, Ph.D.

Marsh, who joined the College of Pharmacy faculty in July 2014, was most recently the assistant dean for assessment and accreditation. In his new position, Marsh will provide primary leadership and administrative oversight for the educational programs offered by the College of Pharmacy, including the pre-pharmacy program. He will be responsible for curricular implementation and provide direction for its assessment and evaluation. Marsh joins Jean M.B. Woodward, BSPharm, M.S., Ph.D., associate dean for student affairs and faculty development, and James Krebs, BSPharm., M.S., Pharm.D., R.Ph., assistant dean for experiential education, on the college’s academic leadership team.

Speaking about his new role, Marsh said, “I look forward to assisting the college in its mission to provide an exemplary, learner-centered pharmacy education. I’m excited to tackle the challenges that will come with the implementation of the college’s new curriculum in fall 2017.”

Marsh was an associate professor at Shenandoah University from 2006-2014 where he served as the director in the Division of Technology in Education, interim assistant dean for academic affairs and interim assistant dean for assessment. Previously, Marsh was with Nova Southeastern University where he had appointments in the College of Pharmacy, College of Business and Entrepreneurship, College of Allied Health, Occupational Therapy Department and the Doctor of Health Science program.

He earned a B.S in Pharmacy, M.S. in Pharmacy Administration and Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration all from University of Texas, Austin. Additionally, Dr. Marsh earned an M.B.A. and M.S. in Education from Nova Southeastern University.
