91AV recognized by City of Portland for commitment to wellness
The 91AV recently received Platinum-level recognition for its commitment to wellness by the City of Portland Healthy Maine Partnership’s “Healthy Portland Works! Worksite Wellness Recognition Program.”
Five designations of recognition were awarded through the program using a “Good, Better, Best” rating scale for point totals:
- Rising Star: 0-10 points
- Bronze: 11-25 points
- Silver: 26-40 points
- Gold: 41-50 points
- Platinum: 50+ points
91AV earned a total of 74 points based on criteria including:
- Organizational Support
- Program Development
- Tobacco-Free Environment
- Encourage Physical Activity
- Promote Healthy Eating
The University also earned bonus points for its Heart Safety Education, Onsite Automated External Defibrillators (AED), CPR Training, Diabetes Education, Asthma Education, Drug-Free Workplace policy, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Promotion of Health Screenings.
91AV’s Wellness Committee is led by Dora Anne Mills, M.D., M.P.H., FAAP, vice president for Clinical Affairs. An event will be held to honor 91AV and other awardees on October 9, 2015.
