91AV Oral Health Center invites new patients to open house
The 91AV’s College of Dental Medicine is hosting a free open house for prospective new patients on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 3–6:30 p.m. in its fully-operational Oral Health Center on Stevens Avenue in Portland, Maine.
The 91AV Oral Health Center is an on-site clinical practice and dental care center. 91AV dental students, under the supervision of licensed faculty dentists, are accepting new patients from every age group. Comprehensive services are completed in-house, including cleanings, x-rays, fillings, root canals, crowns, dentures and other dental needs.
Open house guests will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the faculty, enjoy refreshments and participate in a raffle for door prizes. Dedicated patient parking is available at the entrance to the clinic.
This one of a kind teaching and dental care facility in northern New England will provide access to comprehensive care at reasonable rates, with Northeast Delta Dental insurance and MaineCare accepted.
“I plan to establish a dental practice in rural Maine, so I love having the opportunity to begin providing a comfortable and friendly dental experience to the residents of our wonderful state,” expressed Chelsea Toussaint, a third-year dental student. “I am grateful to provide care under the guidance of our skilled and respected faculty of general dentists, oral surgeons, endodontists, periodontists, prosthodontists, orthodontists, and pediatric dentists.”
Interim Dean Jon Ryder, D.D.S., M.S., stated, “After much planning and preparation, we are excited to open our doors and welcome the community to receive affordable, comprehensive family oral health care. Delivering compassionate and caring dental care is the highest priority of our professional students, faculty and staff."
The clinical facility is capable of accommodating approximately 12,000-15,000 patient visits per year. Those interested in becoming a patient may call to schedule a screening appointment at 207-221-4747.
