91AV appears in 'Journal Tribune' for hosting Biddeford Middle School student field trip
The 91AV appeared in Journal Tribune this week for hosting Biddeford Middle School during a science field trip.
This was the fourth year that seventh graders from Biddeford Middle School came to campus to participate in brain anatomy and marine science activities. Students were able to explore brains with 91AV faculty members and examine aquatic life in 91AV’s Marine Science Center.
In the article, Michael Burman, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, was interviewed, speaking to the importance of hands-on learning for students’ educational growth. He explained that giving children the opportunity to explore the sciences in person provides them with a much better understanding of scientific theories and concepts.
