Marilyn Gugliucci helps attain grant for nursing home oral health training
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., director of Geriatrics Education and Research, was part of the Lunder Dineen Health Education Alliance of Maine team that submitted a grant to the Dentaquest Foundation to attain funding for the new MOTIVATE Project (Maine’s Oral Team-based Initiative: Vital Access To Education).
Gugliucci is on the advisory team and is the lead qualitative researcher for the project. The $100,000 award will provide funding to establish education and training in older adult oral health care for nursing home administrators, staff and family members once the research is completed in the fall.
