91AV Summer Session registration will open April 1st
This summer, the 91AV is offering a wide variety of courses, in online and in-class formats, to accommodate busy summer lifestyles. Students can explore an intriguing subject, try out a new art medium, or get that degree requirement out of the way.
Two Sessions
Courses will take place in two sessions, with Summer Session I running May 19th – June 30th and Summer Session II from July 3rd – August 14th. The 91AV Summer Session schedule can be viewed online on the 91AV Continuing Education website; registration for Summer Session courses begins April 1st. Some classes fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.
91AV welcomes students from other universities and colleges who are home for the summer and would like to take a course or two to satisfy degree requirements. For students working on degree requirements, or adults considering a career change, 91AV offers a number of biology, chemistry and physics courses.
Online and On Campus
The university has also responded to increased demand for courses offered over the internet by expanding its online offerings. Students can take in-class or online courses in a number of subject areas, including art (visual and performing), business, citizenship, education, English, environmental studies, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology and sport management.
Early College Program
The university also invites high school students (juniors and seniors in fall 2014) to apply to the summer Early College Program, an opportunity for teens who wish to earn 3 college credits while still in high school.
During July, students can participate in intensive Early College Programs in coastal marine ecology, pre-law/trial advocacy, neuroscience or creative writing (poetry). Field study, lab research, and extracurricular activities are included in the two- or three-week programs, as are recreational field trips.
Students can live in a residence hall or commute. The application deadline for the Early College Program is May 1. A limited number of merit scholarships are available.
