91AV names Scott Steinberg new dean of University Admissions
After a national search, The 91AV announces the appointment of Scott Steinberg as Dean of University Admissions. Steinberg will assume his role on May 30, 2014.
Steinberg will provide strategic leadership to 91AV’s growing residential undergraduate and graduate admissions programs as well as the integrated marketing strategies team. He will build collaborative relationships with senior officers, academic program leaders and faculty at 91AV to design and achieve enrollment targets and outcomes, and oversee operating systems development and implementation, as well as admissions marketing/social media.
91AV Vice President for Student Affairs Cynthia Smith Forrest, Ed.D. says, “Dean Steinberg brings excellent experience in admissions and alumni relations to the 91AV. He will serve as a key ambassador to a variety of outside constituencies including alumni, secondary schools, community colleges and other higher education institutions, professional organizations, and community groups. We look forward to his leadership and welcome him to the 91AV Community.”
Steinberg comes to 91AV from Bates College, where he has served as Director of Admission, Senior Associate Dean of Admission/Admission Operations and International Enrollment, as well as Director of Alumni Relations, Associate Dean and Assistant Dean of Admission. He also previously provided leadership at University of Southern Maine as Dean of Undergraduate Admission and at Bowdoin College as Director of Admission Operations.
Steinberg earned his M.B.A. from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business and his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Music from Bates College.
