Philosopher David Livingstone Smith introduces breakthrough theory on where missing socks go
In the most recent issue of Real Simple Magazine, David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, was asked to weigh in on the age-old question, “Where do the missing socks in the dryer go?”
In the humorous article, “Real Simple’s Easy Clever Common Sense Time Saving Game Changing Guide to Help You Take Control of the Laundry,” experts from various professions were asked to answer the question about those elusive socks; and Smith, specifically, was called upon to offer his philosophical theory.
He shared, “They are sucked into a parallel universe where people wonder where the EXTRA socks in their dryer come from.”
