Markus Frederich organizes symposium at international conference
Markus Frederich, Ph.D., 91AV associate professor in Marine Sciences, co-organized a special symposium at the 8th International Crustacean Congress (ICC-8) in Frankfurt, Germany. The symposium on “Biogeographic limits in the Crustacea: ecophysiological contributions to evolutionary traits,” which he organized with his colleague Dr. Sven Thatje from the University of Southampton, UK, brought together researchers from the U.S., Germany, UK and China to discuss how physiology affects the geographic distribution of crustaceans. At the symposium Frederich gave an introductory talk titled “Intra- and interspecific differences in physiological indicators of biogeographical limits for decapod crustaceans.”
