Ed Bilsky appointed to Public Education and Communication Committee of Society for Neuroscience
Ed Bilsky, Ph.D., vice president for Research and Scholarship, director of the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, and professor of pharmacology in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, has been appointed to the Public Education and Communication Committee (PECC) of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN).
This committee is actively involved in SfN public outreach projects including the production of publications for the public, outreach to K-12 educators, media relations to promote The Journal of Neuroscience, and press planning for the annual meeting.
The Society for Neuroscience is the world’s largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and nervous system. The nonprofit organization, founded in 1969, now has nearly 40,000 members in more than 90 countries and 130 chapters worldwide.
