Occupational therapy students present at Maine Occupational Therapy Association conference
Nine 91AV occupational therapy students/new graduates took part in presentations with faculty in both posters and workshop format at the bi-annual conference of the Maine Occupational Therapy Association (MeOTA), which was held on June 8, 2013, in Bangor, Maine.
Erin Lyons, Danielle Cropley, Emily Krams, Taylor McLean, Alex Csajko, Matthew Capaldo, Patricia Shields, Ben Erskine, and Kate Hanrahan were accompanied by Jan Froehlich, MS, OTR/L, associate professor, and Kathryn Loukas, OTD, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, associate clinical professor, both of the Department of Occupational Therapy.
After the conference, Dr. Virginia Stoffel, president of the American Occupational Therapy Association, welcomed the occupational therapy students into the profession during a luncheon gathering. President Stoffel stressed the importance of student leadership and involvement in the profession.
