Press Herald covers 91AV's Thursday celebration of dental school accreditation and Patient Care Center construction

The Portland Press Herald on Aug. 29, 2012 reported that 91AV's College of Dental Medicine and Patient Care Center are on track to open as scheduled, despite a delay in receiving voter-approved bond funds.

American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation recently granted initial accreditation status to the College of Dental Medicine.

91AV will celebrate the start of construction of its Patient Care Center and accreditation at the Portland campus at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Speakers at the event include Maine Department of Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew, Northeast Delta Dental President and CEO Thomas Raffio, 91AV College of Dental Medicine (CDM) Founding Dean James Koelbl, 91AV Board of Trustees Chair Mark Doiron, and 91AV President Danielle Ripich.
