Brian Duff participates on MPBN's political ad analysis team

Brian Duff, Ph.D., 91AV associate professor of political science, was asked by the Maine Public Broadcasting Network (MPBN) to be one of a team of two experts scrutinizing campaign ads for the network.

Duff, along with Ron Schmidt, professor of Political Science at the University of Southern Maine, are interviewed in a series of videos analyzing the flood of TV campaign ads appearing in the Maine media.

Duff was also interviewed by MPBN radio for a story on changes in strategies by proponents and opponents of the referendum on gay marriage.

In addition, Duff was interviewed by Seacoast.online for a story on the race for the U.S. Senate in Maine between independent Angus King, Democrat Cynthia Dill and Republican Charlie Summers. The story looks at why King has maintained his lead in the race.

Duff is the author of The Parent as Citizen: A Democratic Dilemma. He has also published research on feminist theory, voting, and the politics of race and ethnicity.
