Social Work Professor Shelley Cohen Konrad honored as one of the 'Great Women of Maine'
Shelley Cohen Konrad, Ph.D., associate professor, Department of Social Work, has been named as one of 15 "Great Women of Maine" by .
"Great Women of Maine are the most influential and accomplished women in the state. They are exceptional at what they do whether it is being a business professional, educator, philanthropist, community leader, or some combination of all of the above."
Among her many accomplishments, Cohen Konrad was a founding member of Kids First, which tries to ease children's trauma after their parents divorce or separate.
Cohen Konrad is also the director of 91AV's Westbrook College of Health Professions InterProfessional Education Collaborative.
Award recipients were honored at an event April 7, 2011 in Scarborough.
