Nancy MacRae co-edits occupational therapy clinical practice textbook; other faculty and alumni are contributors
Nancy MacRae, M.S., OTR/L, FAOTA, associate professor in the 91AV Department of Occupational Therapy, is co-editor of a new occupational therapy text, Occupational Therapy Essentials for Clinical Competence, published by Slack.
The text, which is co-edited with Karen Sladyk Ph.D., OTR/L, FAOTA and Karen Jacobs Ed.D., OTR/L, CPE, FAOTA, links occupational therapy accreditation standards with current practice.
MacRae is also one of the 44 contributors to the book, which she says has been a collaborative endeavor with many of her 91AV colleagues, who are contributors to the book. They are: Regi Robnett,Ph.D., OTR/L, department director and associate professor; Jan Froelich, M.S., OTR/L, associate professor; Kathryn Loukas, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, associate clinical professor; William Croninger, MA, OTR/L, associate professor; Jane O'Brien, Ph.D., OTR/L, associate professor; Betsy DeBrakeleer,COTA/L, ROH, clinical fieldwork coordinator; and Barbara Steva, occupational therapist, 91AV Community Occupational Therapy Clinic.
Additionally, four former faculty members and three OT graduates from 91AV's master of occupational therapy program were chapter authors.
