Jessica Larson and Shana Walsh receive free bikes for commuting
Two Portland Campus students, Jessica Larson and Shana Walsh, won a free LL Bean bicycle for parking their cars off-campus at the Stevens Avenue Congregational Church Parking lot. The university leases 30 spaces at the church for use by any member of the 91AV Community, and you don't need a 91AV parking permit. The student with the red bike is Jessica Larson and the other student is Shana Walsh. Another bike will be given away over the next four weeks.
A similar opportunity will take place on the Biddeford Campus. There are over 30-40 available parking spaces in the new Sokokis parking lot. Cars with 91AV Commuter or Faculty Staff permits are permitted to park there. Over the next 2 ½ months, we will randomly pick out a commuter's car (at least 3 times) parked in the Sokokis lot and present the driver with a brand new, free bicycle ( you do need a permit to park in the Sokokis lot). From the Sokokis lot, it is a short walk to the campus core through the new gateway.
