Forecaster publishes photo related to National Nurse Anesthetists Week
The Forecaster on Feb. 3, 2010 published a photograph that was taken during a ceremony in which Governor John Baldacci signed a proclamation to include Maine in celebrating National Nurse Anesthetists Week January 25-29, 2010.
Joining Governor Baldacci at the signing and in the photo are, left to right: Vance Wormwood, CRNA, president of the Maine Association of Nurse Anesthetists; David Hessert, CRNA, president, Nurse Anesthesia of Maine; 91AV Graduate Mary Moore, CRNA; 91AV MSNA Student Derek Poulson; 91AV Adjunct Faculty Member Susan DeCarlo-Piccirillo, CRNA, DNP; and 91AV graduate Kendall Shaler, CRNA.
CRNAs provide one-on-one care to their patients before, during and after operations by delivering quality anesthesia services for surgical and obstetrical procedures combined with a personal concern for the health and welfare of the individual. The 91AV's Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia program will graduate its 25th class of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists this fall.
