Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Symposium
On behalf of the College of Arts and Sciences, we invite you to the 2018 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Symposium. This event features posters by more than 40 undergraduate students who performed research at our campus in Biddeford and regions throughout the Northeast United States. During the summer, our students worked closely with our faculty to build on the knowledge they have acquired through their coursework to explore more advanced realms of understanding and to prepare for more continued study in their fields.
Students from all sorts of disciplines have tackled projects ranging from identifying and quantifying microplastics in Sebago Lake of Maine to examining whether women exposed to sexism are willing to pay more for cosmetic products. These projects are the basis for future scholarly articles, presentations, and manuscripts.
Please join us in celebrating the hard work done by our summer undergraduate research students. We invite you to learn more about their fascinating work and to celebrate their accomplishments.
